There is nothing better than a big stack of pancakes to start the day.....especially when they are as good as these are for your body. Starting your day with a high protein, healthy breakfast is the best way to kick start your day and keep you satisfied until lunchtime. Our recipe is the perfect post workout meal or healthy brunch addition. They are low carb, high in protein, a great source of fibre and completely gluten and sugar free.
2 tbsp of Raw Cacao Four Protein
2 tbsp coconut flour
1 heaped tsp of raw cacao powder
2 heaped tbsp greek yoghurt
1.5 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp of psyllium husk
1/3-1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk
1 tsp of Natvia
1. Combine all ingredients. Add enough almond milk to create a smooth pancake mix consistency (if the mixture is too thick add some extra almond milk.)
2. Heat up 1 tsp of coconut oil in a non stick fry pan.
3. Spoon 1 heaped tbsp of mixture onto the pan and cook for about 1 minute on each side. Make sure you don't flip the pancake until bubbles form all over the surface (protein pancakes take longer to cook than standard pancakes.)
4. Serve with greek yoghurt and fresh berries. To make the chocolate sauce in the picture simply combine greek yoghurt with some cacao powder and a little Natvia.
