We thought we would share our story with you and why we are so passionate about Four Protein.
After years of going through different protein powders I found they were always either delicious but full of artificial sweeteners, ingredients containing MSG and other nasties OR they were really wholesome but were grainy and tasted really bitter or strange.
I was also getting really bad bloating from all the artificial sweeteners (I had the worst reaction from sucralose) and so Tom Hose, founder of Fox Fit, and I decided to create our own protein powder. After months and months of development we finally created the perfect protein powder, Four Protein.
Four is a clean living, low carb grass fed whey protein that contains four wholesome ingredients and is sweetened naturally with Natvia. We have created a formula that is as clean as can be, won't leave you bloated and still tastes delicious. Can I only use protein powder after a workout/when is the best time to use it?
After a workout is the optimum time to consume protein powder in order to nourish your body aiding in recovery, repair & muscle tone however you can use it anytime! I put a scoop of Four Protein powder in my breakfast smoothie every morning as it helps keep me full until lunchtime and find it keeps my sugar cravings away! If I am craving something sweet after dinner I will always make a little bowl of greek yoghurt mixed with a tbsp of raw cacao protein powder and some fresh berries- it always satisfies my chocolate cravings and is a really healthy/refined sugar free treat!
Will protein powder bulk me/ can girls use protein powder?
I get this question so often! This is one common misconception shared by women and this is not the case at all! The good news about the properties of protein is that it has the ability to help curb your appetite to avoid overeating. Studies have shown that the neurotransmitter PYY, which is linked with appetite suppression is secreted in high levels when consuming food rich in protein. Protein rich food will give you greater satiety yield meaning you last longer between meals.
Four protein will also help stabilise blood sugar levels and will not trigger the fat storage hormone insulin to be secreted in high levels and Four Protein will create the highest metabolic response in comparison it's counterpart macronutrient- carbohydrate.
So NO it will not bulk you. I am at my leanest when my diet is rich in protein!
Can protein powder help with weight loss?
When combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise protein powder can be a great addition to a healthy weight loss plan.
What to look for when choosing a protein powder:
-No added sugar
-Sweetened with a 100% natural sweetener (watch out for sucralose and sweetener 955)
-Free of artificial flavours
-No added vegetable oil
